When did the Olympics started?

An Olimpic gold medal is probably the greatest honor you can get as an athlete. But did you know that the idea for the Olympic Games was born 2500 years ago!
According to Greek legend, Hercules, son of Zeus founded the Olympic games. The oldest records talk about the games that are held in 776 BC, and the fields in addition to the city of Olympia. A thousand years these games are held every four years, until he ended the Romans in 394.
The ancient Greeks thought that the Olympics are very important, so the distance between their holding time measured. This distance amounted to four years and was named Olympiad. Olympic Games such as articulate a Greek ideal "healthy body, healthy spirit." Nothing forbidden to prevent the holding of the games. If the incident at the time to have a war, and it is interrupted.
Even 1500 years later, the French baron Pierre de Coubertin thought came to revive the Olympic Games. His proposal in 1894 Paris International Congress was held in fifteen countries. The participants of this Congress unanimously decided to re-introduce the games and held every fourth year. Two years later renovated stadium in Athens held the first modern Olympics.
In today's Olympic games, included many sports branches, which do not even exist in ancient times: basketball, water polo, soccer, biking, archery and hockey.
Today cares Olympics International Olympic Committee, and each country has its own national committee, which decides on its share of the Olympiad.

As the man began to dress?

It is natural to suppose that man built his clothing to protect from the cold time. However it is just one of many reasons. Equally important role in it played and the human desire to look beautiful in the eyes of others people. After a while, when man learned to draw blades of bones and stones, began to make notch in the skin and puts them colour. That`s how the tattooing began. Primitive man found other ways to get the attention on his side.He decorated himself decorated with trophies acquired in battle or in the hunt: wore a necklace of teeth and bones around Gaza obesuval horns, feathers, scalp and skins of slain animals. After a while primitive man began to wear seat necklaces coat or shirt and skirt replaced with a belt around the waist.Soon it began to wear not only as an ornament, but also to protect from the cold and to cover nakedness. When performed ice age with frequent snow and ice rain, bare tribal members sought refuge in the caves of wild animals. If spark such an animal, usually a bear, man killed them, and their skin he used to carry himself during the day and at night to sleep on it.
So skins of wild animals became clothes of the  primitive man.The early hunters invented the skillof sewing..So with the sharp knives they cut off the skin of the animals. From flint-stone made Stinger which rules holes; through them they linger leather strap merging parts of clothes.Their best invention has been needle ears.
Needles with ears and buttons are found in the sites from the Stone Age to the caves of Central Europe and in the Swiss villages; they made it since 30 000 and and 40 000 years. Some very long needles are made from the leg bones of large birds.Others are made by ivory and today could be used for sewing. In some parts of the world, people tied grass and leaves, they were kniting and it made clothing.
Thus making the clothing became one of the oldest human crafts.

What was the first road?

Animal Footprints in forests and jungles probably represent the beginning and all the roads. The man has been easier and safer to follow those traces, rather than alone to break way through densely woods. The paths by which man moved from his shelter to a nearby stream or hunting probably represent the oldest roads that man made alone
When people began to depart each other, appeared need of making roads. When people began to depart each other, appeared need roads. Thus arose the important terrestrial routes across Europe and Asia, having evolved trade with amber silk and gems. These roads resembled paths and trails from constant use.
The oldest stone paved path is the one that is probably made in Egypt around 3000 BC for the construction of the Great Pyramid. To convey the huge stone blocks of which is built this pyramid built flat, smooth stone highway, 18 meters wide and almost a mile long.
Shorter flagging roads constructed in Crete around 1500 BC. It is believed that Carthagynes 500 BC built a road network of flagging.
The Romans were famous builders of roads. In their time, freight wagons and carriages had fixed axles, and could not make the turns, so the Romans built straight roads where it was possible.
Over a period of about 600 years, the Romans built over 100 000 kilometers flagging roads that stretched across the entire Roman Empire. The first and most famous of these roads began to be built 312 BC. It is studied Via Appia. Displays
American continent some Indian tribes have reached a high degree of civilization. About a thousand years ago the tribe of the Incas in Peru erected a flagging around 6000 km long road that stretched from Ecuador to central Chile. In Yucatan built makes solid stone roads on which postilan mortar, so that the surface was smooth and white.

Energy

Surely you know that the most important goal of today's science is to get energy from the atom, to enable man to live in peace and abundance. The very thought that you can do it, is one of the biggest steps in the history of human thought!
Albert Einstein first yeah set theory which shows the relationship between matter and energy. It shows that matter can be converted into energy. This changes our whole understanding of the physical world.
What is energy? Energy is the ability to perform work. Energy is what stands behind the strength and provides strength. Let's try it to understand it in the car.
Engine to work, there must be some force. Something has to create that force. That something is the energy. Energy from where? Energy comes from gas and is released through the burning of gasoline in the cylinder. This energy creates force, which, through the transmission and the wheels driving the car. So the engine is running, and that allows energy. There are two types of energy, potential and kinetic. First let us see what it is potential energy. Gas molecules stick pile with the aid of power. Molecules is collected energy, in case of need, you can spend, and it's potential energy. When gas will explode, that potential energy consumer.
Another example of potential energy is the weight lift a certain height. In this weight is collected energy that we can free ourselves if we let fall. Top of the waterfall or water behind the dam also has potential energy.
Suppose now that it is water weight dropped or PG in the form of a waterfall. The fact that it is moving at a certain speed, and allows you to perform the job, and that energy is called "kinetic energy". It is energy that flow from the weight of the body that moves and his speed. When a body falls, it loses potential energy and gains kinetic energy. But the amount of energy received is fully equal to the amount lost. In fact, the total amount of energy in the universe is always the same. We can neither create nor destroy. Whether you would like to use with drop of water, coal or atoms, we can only one form of energy to translate into other

How Big is the Universe?

The human mind can not imagine a true picture of the universe. Not only we do not know exactly how much but it is hard for us to imagine its size.
If we start from our planet, and little-centric, you will immediately see why this is so. Earth is part of the solar system, but its quite a small part. Solar System consists of the Sun, the planets revolve around it, small planets and meteors. Solar system is just a glimpse of one another, much larger system, called galaxy. It is composed of billions of stars, some of which are much larger than the Sun, and may have their own systems like solar.
The stars we see in our galaxy (the Milky Way) are the real suns. They are so far away from us, that distance is not measured by miles, but by light years. Light travels at a speed of 300,000 miles a second, and a year spent about 9 600 000 000 000 (nearly ten trillion) miles.
Nearest bright star to the earth is Alpha Centauri. Do you know how far away from us? 40 billion miles! But we are talking about galaxy. It is thought to be widespread around 100 000 light years. And our galaxy is only a small part of a much bigger system.
In addition to our own Milky Way there are probably millions of other galaxies, and the nearest to us is about 2 million light years away. And maybe they all galaxies together make up only part of a much bigger system!
Now you understand why we can not imagine the size of the universe?

What is the composition of the earth?

This great planet of the solar system, in the form of a ball or sphere mainly consists of rocks! In its interior rocks melted, but the outer crust is hard. Less than one-third of the earth's surface covered by land, and two-thirds by water. Outside the Earth's crust is thick between 50-120 km and called litosphere. The high parts of the crust are continents and low parts hydrological oceans, seas and lakes. All the water on the Earth's surface, oceans, lakes, rivers, and all the smaller sources are called hidrosphere.
Man has examined only the highest part of the rocky crust that forms the outer part of the country, so it is difficult to determine what constitutes its interior. During the excavation of wells and mines has been confirmed that the deeper the hole, the temperature becomes higher. Three kilometers below the Earth's surface temperature is such that the water boils.
Scientists have discovered a lot of things inside the country studying earthquakes. They believe that the temperature in the depths of the earth is not rising as rapidly as the earth's crust and that the temperature in the center of the country is not higher than 5500 levels. Sure it's great heat, because the rocks melt at a temperature of 1200 degrees!
Earth's crust has two layers. Upper layer that forms the continents and that is granite.Under granite layer is a thick layer of very hard rock called basalt. Scientists believe that in the center of the earth is a huge ball molten iron with a diameter of about 6000 km.
Between the central ball and the earth is about 3200 km thick layer

Evolution of plants

As occurred plants? According to scientific theories,There was a time when on Earth were no plants. And then, several hundred million years ago, as were small balls of protoplasm. Protoplasm is the name of living matter that is found in plants and in animals. These primordial cells protoplazmata according these theories were the rudiments of all today's plants and animals.
The cells of protoplasm that developed plants have thick walls and are underpinned one place. They also created a kind of green material, known as "chlorophyll". It allowed them to prepare food for substance that were in the air, water and earth.
These first green plants had only one cell, but later formed a group of cells. Because there was no protection from drought, they had to stay in the water. Today some descendants of these primordial plants still living, though highly modified. One group managed to feed plants using chlorophyll. These plants are not green and are called fungi. Most of today's plants caused by algae.
